Franc Mayne Tour

Tour of the vineyard, the winery and the barrel cellar in the underground quarries, followed by a tasting.

With a tasting of two wines (Château Franc Mayne and the second wine, Les Cèdres de Franc Mayne).
45 minutes, 13 € per person

With a tasting of three wines (two vintages of Château Franc Mayne, including one more than ten years-old, and the second wine).
50 minutes, 18 € per person

Starfish Tour

The Franc Mayne tour supplemented by an in-depth visit of the quarry tunnels, specially lit by scenographer Eric Le Collen, well-known for his recreation of the Battle of Castillon. This tour reveals the importance of the asteriated limestone plateau (rich in fossils, including starfish!) and an evocation of regional history with a presentation specially designed for the site.

The tour ends with a tasting of a vintage of the second wine and two vintages of Château Franc Mayne, including one more than ten years-old.

Starfish – Wine Tasting Tour

The Starfish tour followed by an introduction to wine tasting. Including a tasting of four wines, this entertaining “lesson” will help you to understand the subtleties of the flavours and aromas of the different grape varieties.

Saint-Emilion meets the Médoc Tour

After the Franc Mayne tour, an unusual wine tasting offers a comparison between Bordeaux’s left and right banks, with wines from two outstanding properties. On right bank, the charm of Saint-Emilion, with Château Franc Mayne, a Grand Cru Classé made predominantly with Merlot. On left bank, the prestige of the Médoc with Château Paloumey, a Cru Bourgeois made predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting of three wines: Château Franc Mayne’s second wine, Château Franc Mayne and Château Paloumey, all from the same vintage.

1 hour, 20 € per person

Château Franc Mayne’s tours are offered all year round, by reservation, subject to the availability of our guides.

Open every day between 15 March and 15 November, and Monday to Friday between 15 November and 15 March.
Annual closure from 21 December to 2 January.
